New Masonic season

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Our first meeting of the new Masonic season will be taking place on Tuesday 7th September, where we will be initiating the first of several new members. We have an exciting year ahead, with work for every meeting.

Shortly after our next meeting two of our members will receive honours at the annual meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge. W Bro D. C.  Allen will receive an active first appointment of Provincial Grand Pursuivant, and W Bro D. A. Burden a promotion to Past Provincial Senior Grand Deacon. Congratulations to them both.

We hope you all have an enjoyable year ahead.

Installation in June

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

Preparation has begun for the next regular meeting of the Ashley Hill Lodge No. 7861. In some ways, this is a highlight of our Masonic calendar, being the Installation of the new Master and progression of members of the lodge.

The meeting will take place at the Berkshire Masonic Centre, Sindlesham, at 5pm on Tuesday 8th June. Masons wishing to attend should get in touch with our Secretary.

Snow disruption

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

Given the inclement weather it has been suggested by both the WM and Lodge DC that we may be being a bit optimistic holding our first Lodge of Instruction of 2010. The class, scheduled for Wednesday 6 January, comes amidst severe snow.

One member of Ashley Hill had to abandon his car on the road of the Berkshire Masonic Centre two weeks ago, and this weeks snow is more severe. It’s also reported that the Masonic Centre is closed as the staff cannot get in.

Anyone wishing to contact the Berkshire Masonic Centre can do so on 0118 979 5104, or visit the Provincial Website at www.berkspgl.org.uk.
